10 Days Best of Uganda Safari

The 10 Days Best of Uganda Safari package that we provide was developed with the express purpose of providing visitors with the absolute finest safari experience that the gem of Africa has to offer. Day 1 of 10 Days The highlight of your safari in Uganda is a visit to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will be picked up from an agreed upon place in Kampala by a tour guide from our Uganda tours and travel company, or you will depart from our office and drive to Murchison falls national park as the very first day of our 10 Day Best of Uganda safari package. If you stop for lunch at Masindi town along the way, it will take you around 5 hours to get there from Kampala. The Kichumbanyobo gate will be used for your entrance. The most direct route takes travelers from Masindi town to Paraa, which is around 85 kilometers away. You will begin your tour at the uppermost point of the falls, then continue on to Fort Murchison Lodge (Double tent for budget or Cottage for mid-range).

Optional activity: Stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary ($45 per person).

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls

You will have an early morning breakfast on the second day of the 10 Days Best of Uganda safari package that you have purchased. After that, you will embark on a game drive, during which you will see a variety of animal species, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and Uganda kobs, amongst others. In the afternoon, you will go on a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction, the one-of-a-kind Murchison Falls, as well as the River Nile, which is home to a steady stream of hippos and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, in addition to a large number of different species getting down to drink and bathe. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast on the third day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda safari itinerary, you will depart for Kibale and spend the day exploring the area. You will stop at the amabere ganyinamwiru stalagmites and waterfalls site in Fort Portal as well as the crater lakes as you make your way there. After lunch, drive to the Kibale Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking – Kibale forest

On the fourth day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda safari vacation, you will have breakfast in the early morning, then head for a briefing, and then begin chimpanzee trekking. The Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda is widely regarded as one of the continent’s premier locations for chimpanzee tracking on safari. The tropical forest of Kibale National Park, which spans an area of 795 square kilometers and is home to a variety of unique plant and animal species, is widely considered to be among the most beautiful and diverse in all of Uganda. This is home to a variety of woodland creatures, the most notable of which are the 13 different kinds of primates, including chimpanzees.

Following your time spent hiking, you will have lunch, and then you will travel to the Bigodi Wetland, where you will observe a diverse population of birds in addition to pristine natural surroundings. Transport to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese will be provided later. Dinner and a night’s stay at either the Enganzi Game Lodge or the Mweya Hostel (depending on your budget) (Mid-range)

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise – Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will embark on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector on the fifth day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda safari vacation. During this game drive, you will have the opportunity to see a variety of species, such as elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards, and many more. After returning to the lodge for a late breakfast, you will next go to the Katwe salt pans, where you will find the locals engaged in the process of salt mining.

Enjoy lunch, and then in the afternoon, go for a launch cruise in the Kazinga Channel, where you will observe diverse species such as hippos and crocodiles, and the boat will also enrich you with numerous birds, most of which will be found on the sandbanks. Dinner and the overnight stay are the same as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi

On the sixth day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda safari, after breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will go through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you could see some tree climbing lions. You will stop for lunch along the way, and you will get to Bwindi in the afternoon. In the Buhoma Community Rest Camp, you’ll have dinner and spend the night (Tent for budget or Cottage for mid-range).

Take note that if you arrive at the lodge ahead of schedule, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that are not required, such as a tour around the village or a visit to the Batwa people.

Day 7: Gorilla hiking – Bwindi

You will enjoy an early morning meal on day 7 of this 10 Day Best of Uganda safari. After that, you will travel to the park headquarters for a briefing, and then you will go on with your gorilla trekking adventure after that.

This might take anywhere from four to eight hours depending on how the gorillas roam about. After finishing the journey, you will return to the starting area to receive your certificate for gorilla trekking, and then you will make your way back to the resort. Dinner and the overnight stay are the same as above.

Day 8: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale

You will enjoy breakfast at your own leisure on the eighth day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda safari, and then you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, which is renowned as the Switzerland of Africa. The journey itself is pleasant because to the beautiful scenery and hazy views of the Virunga Mountains that can be seen in the distance.

You will have lunch in the town of Kabale, and then continue on to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat journey to Bushara Island. On Bushara Island, you will have a relaxing nature walk on the woodland trail, and you will have excellent opportunity to watch birds. After leaving Bushara, return to the loading site, and continue on to Bunyonyi Overland Resort, which is located right next to the lake. Dinner and an overnight stay will be provided there (both budget and mid-range options available)

Day 9: Boat ride and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

You will have breakfast on the ninth day of your 10 Day Best of Uganda safari, and then you will have a boat trip on the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, which is comprised of 36 islands, each of which has its own tale. You will go to a number of the region’s most important islands, such as Punishment Island, Bushara Island, and Leper’s Island, amongst others, during which time you will see a great deal of avian life and gain a deeper understanding of the locals.

Then, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo national park. On route, you will have a lunch break in the town of Mbarara, and you will arrive at Lake Mburo in the late afternoon or early evening. Eagle’s Nest Lodge provided both dinner and lodging for the night.

Sports like as horseback riding, guided hikes into the wilderness, and biking are available as add-ons.

Day 10: Game drive and transfer back Kampala

This being the tenth and last day of your safari through Uganda’s Finest, You will have the opportunity to go on a game drive first thing in the morning, and then you will be transferred to Kampala. Herds of Impala may be found roaming freely at Lake Mburo National Park, in addition to Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer, which are a bit rarer.

In addition to the recently arrived Giraffes, Burchell’s Zebra and buffalo may be found grazing in the region. Drive back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your lodge or at Entebbe airport for your departure to the next destination, and then return to the resort for a late breakfast and lunch.
