The 3 day Mount Elgon National Park safari takes you to hiking the highest peak known as wagagai, a visit to the sipi falls, nature walks in Mount Elgon national park. The Uganda hiking safari starts from and ends in Kampala but involves an amazing and breathtaking experience. The national park is a habitat to 300 species of birds plus the endangered lammergeyer, small antelopes, forest monkeys and elephants. A climb on Mount Elgon’s moorlands bring out the wilderness. The safari is rewarding with the mabira forest, Lake Victoria and jinja town among others.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO MBALE AND SIPI FALLS
The guide will pick you from Entebbe, hotel in Kampala or place of resident early in the morning after breakfast. A drive from Kampala via jinja to mbale which is fun filled with scenic views of mabira forest, Lake Victoria as well as jinja town among others. While in mbale, you will stop over for lunch an after proceed to visit the amazing sipi falls.
After the visit from sipi falls, you will come to your hotel and relax. Dinner will be served as well as an overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2; HIKING, FOREST, AND CULTURAL WALK
Early in the morning, you will prepare for the hiking Mount Elgon. The guide will pick you at the hotel and you will leave with packed lunch to meet the park guides for a small briefing. Then after the hiking will start off a hike to wagagai which is challenging and a bit long. You will hike until you reach the rain clouds. After the trail, you will come back for lunch and have some refreshment. Later in the afternoon you engage in the nature walk through the budadiri forest. After the walk you can come back to the hotel and loosen up.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
On the 3rd day of your 3 day Mount Elgon National Park safari, After having breakfast at the hotel, a drive back to Kampala. While on the journey you can have a stopover at jinja and explore the source of the Nile, itanda falls, bujagali falls, and jinja sailing club among others. After the jinja exploration then we can proceed to Kampala where you will be dropped to the hotel, place of residence or Entebbe airport for your flight.
