6 days Volcanoes and Nyungwe safari takes you to two national parks in Rwanda that is volcanoes national park and Nyungwe forest national park where you will be able to encounter with the mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and the golden monkeys.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; ARRIVAL IN KIGALI
On arrival, you will be welcomed by the Rwanda safari guide who will brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to Kigali for a city tour to the genocide memorials, kimironko market among others with enroute lunch. After the city tour, you will head to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to volcanoes national park with enroute lunch. On arriving at Ruhengeri in the afternoon, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and be grouped. After you will enter the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. The trek can last for 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with as you take photos and record moments. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE
On the 4th day of your 6 days Volcanoes and Nyungwe safari, After having morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest for the search of the golden monkeys which lasts 3 to 5 hours. Once the monkeys are located, you will spend one hour with them as you watch their behaviors and take photos as you record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and freshen up. After lunch, you will embark on the journey to Nyungwe forest. On arrival, you will head to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND CANOPY WALK
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. On locating the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them as you record moments and memories. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on a walking trail which takes you to the canopy walk, a swing bridge which is 50 meters in length that is suspended from the large trees. You will spot the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving below you. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER TO KIGALI
After enjoying breakfast at leisure, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival you will be dropped off at Kigali international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
