10 days Congo and Uganda safari is an amazing safari which takes you to virunga national park in Congo and national parks in Uganda such as Bwindi impenetrable national park, queen Elizabeth national park and kibale national park where you will engage in activities such as gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking and game viewing experiences.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO CONGO
On arrival, you will meet the safari guide who will brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start on the journey to Congo. On crossing Congo border, you will proceed to Goma and check into the tourism office at the Grande Barrier Border to get the gorilla trekking permit and Nyiragongo hiking permit. After, you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and prepare for the next day activities.
DAY 2; GORILLA TREKKING IN VIRUNGA
Early in the morning after having breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them carry out their day to day activities. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 3; NYIRAGONGO HIKING
After having breakfast, you will be transferred to kibati ranger post for a briefing. After the briefing, you will start on the hike which takes 6 to 7 hours to reach the summit. On arrival, you will have dinner and spend the night at the summit as you watch the lava crater boiling.
DAY 4; DESCEND NYIRAGONGO AND PROCEED TO UGANDA
After morning breakfast, you will start descending Mount Nyiragongo back to kibati ranger post which takes 4 to 5 hours. After crossing the cyanika border, you will embark on the journey to bwindi national park. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about the mountain gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be grouped in groups of 8 and allocated a gorilla family to trek. After you will enter the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch their behaviors and take photos as well as record moments. After you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast in the morning, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival, you will have a game drive within the ishasha sector where you will spot the tree climbing lions as well as other animals and birds as well. After the game drive, you will be transferred to your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 7; GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
In the morning after having breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive within the park. While on the game drive, you will spot animals such as buffaloes, African elephants, lions and antelopes among others and bird species. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on the mighty kazinga channel where you will spot hippos and crocodiles as well as other animal species and water birds. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge and freshen up, have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 8; TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
After having morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to kibale national park which was nicknamed as the primates capital due to the high population of chimpanzees. On arrival, you will visit crater lakes and Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru. After the visit, you will head to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 9; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND BIGODI WETLAND
Early in the morning after having breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter into the forest for the search of the chimpanzees. Once the primates are located, you will spend an hour as you watch them carryout their daily activities and you will take pictures and record moments. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head for a guided nature walk into the bigodi swamp wetland where you will spot a number of birds and other animals. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 10; TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
After having a leisure breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kampala with stopovers for lunch. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
