7 days Rwanda gorilla safari introduces you to Rwanda national parks where you will have game drives in Akagera where you will spot wildlife, volcanoes national park where you will be in contact with the golden monkeys and gorillas then proceed to Nyungwe forest for chimpanzee trekking.

DETAILED SAFARI

DAY 1; ARRIVAL AT KIGALI

Upon arrival at the airport the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will set off to Kigali town for a city tour with enroute lunch. After the city tour, you will head to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK AND IHEMA BOAT CRUISE

After breakfast, you will have breakfast and drive to the Akagera national park. On arrival you will check into the lodge and have lunch. After lunch you will have a boat cruise on Lake Ihema. While on the boat cruise you will spot animals such as crocodiles and hippos as well as bird species. After the boat cruise, you will head back to the lodge and prepare for the next day activities.

DAY 3; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, you will head into the park for a morning game drive where you will have an opportunity to spot animals such as leopards, elephants, hyenas, bushbucks and buffaloes among others after you will head back to the lodge and have late breakfast.

After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the volcanoes national park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge and loosen up as you wait for dinner and preparations for the next day activities.

DAY 4; GORILLA TREKKING

In the early morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas with the help of the park rangers and armed rangers. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, feed, hunt and breastfeed as you take photos and videos. After the trek, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.

DAY 5; GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head at the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest for a search of the golden monkeys. Once they are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, hunt, feed and as you take photos and record memories. After you will head to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey to Nyungwe forest national park. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.

DAY 6; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND CANOPY WALK

After having your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, they will be allocated a family to trek and after enter into the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees as you will watch their behaviors as you will be taking photos and videos. After, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a canopy walk for a walking trail on a swing bridge which is 50 meters in length and suspended from the large trees. You will have an aerial view of the rainforest as well as wildlife, birds and many more moving below the bridge. After the canopy walk, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

DAY 7; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI

You will have your morning breakfast and you will check out of the lodge and start on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival at the Kigali city, you will be dropped off at the Kigali international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
