DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER FROM KIGALI TO THE VOLCANOES
The driver guide picks you from the hotel or airport early in the morning with a briefing. After the briefing, you will head to the city tour of Kigali where you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial, kimironko market, the presidential palace museum and many more. After the city tour, you will have lunch and then embark to the 3 hour drive to the volcanoes. You will pass through the mountainous country side and the tea plantations. After you reach the park, you will head to your lodge and check in and relax in the gardens and prepare for the next day.

DAY 2; GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning, you will head to the park’s headquarters and have a briefing, after the briefing you will head to the park with the help of the park rangers. The trekking takes 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement and location of the mountain gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend with the mountain gorillas an hour as you observe their behaviors. After the trekking you will head back to your lodge for late lunch and relax for the next day.
DAY 3; GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND VISIT LAKE BURERA AND RUHONDO
After breakfast early in the morning, you will set off to the national parks headquarters for a briefing about the golden monkey tracking. After the briefing, you will head to the park in search of the golden monkeys. Once the golden monkeys are found, you will spend with them an hour as you notice their behavior as well as you take pictures and videos. After you will head to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go and visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera and engage in activities such as canoeing, island hopping, nature walks and birding among others. After you will head back to your lodge and relax from the long day.
DAY 4; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
In the morning, you will have your breakfast and prepare to check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. After the driver will take you up to the airport for your flight or any place of your choice.
