3 days Kyambura gorge safari takes you to the second largest national park in Uganda and that’s Queen Elizabeth national park. The kyambura gorge is located in the eastern corner of the national park. The gorge is referred to as the valley of apes by most of the tourists due to the existence of primates. The gorge is dominated by the tropical rain forest in the valley as well as savannah above creating a new world within the national park.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Basing on your location, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari early in the morning. After you will embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes 6 to 7 hours via masaka road. There will be a stopover at the equator where you will take pictures as well visit the craft shop. After you will have another stopover in mbarara for lunch. After you will embark on the journey up to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival you will check into your lodge relax as you wait for the evening game drive.
While on the evening game drive you will spot animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes and many more. After you will head to your lodge and relax as you wait for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; NATURE WALK AND PRIMATES WATCHING IN KYAMBURA GORGE
Early in the morning after having your breakfast, the safari guide will transfer you to the kyambura gorge. The gorge is cut across by the Kyambura River where it got its name. After the briefing, you will set off on a nature and primates walk inside the gorge. As you walk through the tropical and riverine forest trees and the thick forest canopy in search of chimpanzees as well as other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys among others.
Besides being a home to primates the gorge is a home to a number of bird species such as blue headed bee-eater, martial eagle, bar-tailed godwit, African fin foot, chapins flycatcher, white tailed lark, corncrake, pink backed pelican, papyrus gonolek, African broadbill and white-winged warbler and many more. After you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation and lunch.
After you will visit the coffee plantation within kyambura where you will learn the whole coffee making process and also taste on the coffee made. After you will return to the lodge relax, have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
In the morning after your breakfast, you will have a morning game drive where you will be able to spot animals such as giraffes, leopards, lions, elephants, kob among others and a number of bird species. After, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala passing kasese fort portal road with an en route lunch. While on the journey you will spot amazing views of the landscape and many more. After reaching Kampala, the guide will drop you to the airport for your flight back home or any location as advised.
