The 3 days Bwindi gorilla habituation experience introduces you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is famous for having half the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. During the habituation experience, you will spend with the gorillas 4 hours which is not the case with the gorilla trekking. You will spot other primates such as white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey among others as well as birds, mammals and many more.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO BWINDI

The driver guide will pick you from your area of choice and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will embark on the journey to bwindi national park with a stopover at kayabwe where the equator crosses Uganda. After the experience, you will head to mbarara for lunch and later proceed to bwindi national park. On reaching, you will check into your lodge and relax from the long journey as you wait for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; GORILLA HABITUATION EXPERIENCE

Early in the morning after your morning breakfast, you will proceed to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will start the trek into the densely steep jungle in search for the endangered mountain gorillas. You will be accompanied by the park rangers, researchers among others. On locating the gorillas, you will spend 4 hours with the mountain gorillas as you study their behaviors such as feeding patterns, how they relate with one another how they play among others.

The habituation experience takes the whole day. After the experience, you will head back to your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.

DAY 3; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA

After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala, with a stopover at the Igongo cultural center, have lunch and proceed to Kampala. After reaching Kampala, you will be dropped off at any place of your choice, or airport for your flight back home.
