The 2 days Kalinzu chimpanzee trekking safari; introduces you to the main activity within kalinzu central forest reserve. The tropical forest is located in bushenyi district and is a home to primates such as chimpanzees, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, black billed turacos among others. While on the safari one can spot the Uganda equator, Lake Mburo among others. The forest is well known for the chimpanzee trekking in Uganda.
Queen Elizabeth National Park as well is the second largest national park and boosts with a lot of wildlife species and bio diversity ranging from the savannah to rain forest, thick swamps as well as crater lakes. It’s a home to hippopotamuses, lions, buffaloes, leopards, hyena among others. Primates as well as chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys and red-tailed monkeys among others.

DAY 1; DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK FOR A BOAT CRUISE AT KAZINGA CHANNEL
Pick up from Entebbe, Kampala or place of residence and a small brief about the trip to kalinzu and what to expect then embark on the southern western Uganda. Along the way we can have lunch at mbarara then drive at the park in the afternoon and directly proceed to the mweya peninsular.
Later embark on the boat cruise on the magnificent kazinga channel where you will be able to spot a number of animals and water birds. These include hippopotamuses, buffaloes among others. The shores are a home to a number of birds such as pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork among others. After the ride, a drive up to the lodge for a refreshment and loosen up.

DAY 2; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING SAFARI IN KALINZU AND BACK TO KAMPALA
In the morning, we will set off for the chimpanzee trekking in kalinzu forest reserve at 8am. At the park headquarters we will be briefed by the guide and thus set off for the trekking. The forest is well known for having 6 different primates such as vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white monkeys and so much more. The reserve has over 414 tree species, 378 bird species, 262 butterfly species and many more that call it a home. Besides trekking the chimpanzee trekking, you can as well look out for other species such as birds, butterflies as well as mammals.

After the trekking, we can start off the journey back to Kampala. A stop over for lunch in mbarara and thus proceed to Kampala.
