DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO GOMA

After breakfast in the morning, you will be picked by the driver guide and brief you about the Congo safari. After the briefing you will head to Kigali city and see the genocide memorials and other cultural museums. Later you will head to Lake Kivu for a boat cruise and have lunch. After lunch you will proceed to Goma and check in your lodge for dinner and night stay

DAY 2; NYIRAGONGO HIKE

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will meet the park rangers for a briefing. After, you will start off the hike at 10am. The hike takes 6 hours to reach the summit. Along the way you will spot tree species and a number of wildlife and birds. After reaching the summit you will have dinner and a camp fire.

DAY 3; DESCENDING MOUNT NYIRAGONGO AND DEPARTURE

Early in the morning, you will descend from the summit after having your breakfast. After, you will meet your guide and embark on the journey back to Kigali and later head for your flight back home.
