Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Kampala to Bwindi

Transfer to Bwindi: We’ll leave between 6:00 and 7:00 in the morning, and the trip should take us around nine hours. We’ll stop along the way in a town named Kayabwe, which is the location of the Uganda Equator. The primary latitude line that divides the planet into the southern and northern hemispheres lies here. Before continuing on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we will stop there to snap pictures and have a lunch of local fare. As we prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking trip the next day, we will spend the majority of our time relaxing after we get at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening.

Day 2 – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park

Gorilla tracking: On the second day of our three-day safari in Bwindi, we go gorilla trekking. We must first get instruction before traveling to the jungle to view the mountain gorillas. At the 7:30 AM pre-briefing, you will learn about safety precautions, get important information, and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have concerning the next gorilla trekking excursion. We will leave no later than 8:30 AM to do gorilla trekking, a strenuous physical sport that calls for a certain degree of fitness, as we go into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of mountain gorillas. We will be accompanied by a few armed game rangers. Your paces will determine the categories you are assigned to. Depending on how long you choose to continue, this activity might take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours. You must, however, be back at the starting location by 6:30 PM or no later than 7:00 PM.

Day 3 – Departure to Kampala

Travel back to Kampala: On the third day of our three-day gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi, we will have breakfast at our accommodation early in the morning before leaving for Kampala. Although the return trip takes roughly nine hours, we make sure you have some excitement on the way. Early in the morning, our driver will pass via the hills of Kigezi that are wrapped in the lovely mist before continuing through the picturesque Western Ugandan sceneries with indigenous banana/matooke plantations and cow farms in the region of Ntungamo. We will eat lunch at the Igongo Culture Center in Mbarara District, travel to the Equator, stop for more photos, and drink some coffee before arriving in Kampala, the final stop on our three-day gorilla tour of Bwindi. You have two options after you get in Kampala: spend the night in a hotel or guest home that has been reserved, or leave.

This concludes our 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; but, in the event that any extensions are required, discussions with our personnel must be made as early as possible to make preparations.
