DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO GOMA TO TCHEGERA

The driver will pick you up depending on your location and brief you about the Congo safari. After the briefing, you will drive to Kituku port where the boat headed to the island is stationed. You will board the boat with your luggage. You will arrive at the island and have lunch. After you will check in your cottage and after in the evening, you can relax and enjoy the breeze or have a guided nature walk on the island. After you will get back have dinner and a camp fire that is set up to warm you in the night.

DAY 2; LEAVE TCHEGERA ISLAND BACK TO KIGALI

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will enjoy your last moments at the island and then board the boat to cross back to land. The boat trip takes an hour and then head back to either Goma or Kigali. After, you can have a city tour in Kigali as you visit kimironko market in Kigali and the genocide memorial grounds. After you can be dropped off at the airport for your flight.
